Barb Murray has been an active and passionate advocate for bear conservation and protection of habitat for many years. Growing up in Northern BC she developed a deep appreciation and respect for all wildlife and the importance of preserving their habitat.

Currently, Barb is the administrator of bearsmatter.com and Bears Matter social media sites. Barb’s main focus is to consult with wildlife conservation groups, media and members of the public. Areas of interest; human-bear conflict, wildlife conservation of predator species, anti-trophy hunting, modernizing BC’s Wildlife Act and restructuring of the B.C. Conservation Officer Service.
